Three-year Part-time Taiji/Qigong Course
The Taiji/Qigong course is suitable for students who are interested in deepening their knowledge of Taijiquan and Qigong and for those who are interested in teaching. At the completion of the course students will have gained a practical and theoretical understanding of both Taijquan, Qigong and Qi, its different manifestations and relation to the western medical view. They will study either 24 step simplified Taiijiquan or the first 15 moves of Chen Taiji and several types of Qigong. They will appreciate and learn to use the therapeutic aspects of Taijiquan and Qigong practice. Each course session will include both theoretical and practical work, with individual help given where needed. In addition, each participant will have several individual lessons where close attention to detail and intensity not possible in a general lesson will be provided. In addition to the Taiji/Qigong course, students, who wish to teach or use Taijquan and Qigong as a therapy, are still expected to attend weekly session of Taijqiuan or Qigong. There are two courses as follows.
24 Step Simplified Taijiquan and Qigong
Students will study the 24 step simplified Taijiquan and several type of Qigong over the three years. They are expected to know the Taiji form before starting the course.
15 Step Chen Taijiquan and Qigong
Students will study the first 15 steps of Chen Taijiquan based on Loajia, the oldest form of Taijiquan and several types of Qigong. They are expected to know the 15 moves of Chen Taiji form before starting the course.
